HOW TO STRIP HENNA HAIR DYE. Dying your hair with henna? Watch this video first!

I am not a hairstylist.  This method is not formulated by a licensed hairstylist.  If you try this and it doesn't work for you, I am not responsible.  I was told by a licensed hairstylist that citric acid was commonly used in the '80s-'90s to remove hard water rust build-up from hair.  If your hair was naturally darker than mine (blonde highlights) before you used henna, you might not achieve the same results.

Citric Acid Method
Put the normal amount of shampoo you would use to wash your hair into a small bowl.
Add an equal amount of citric acid to the shampoo and mix. (Use a mask and don't inhale citric acid)
Dampen hair in the shower and apply the mixture evenly to hair.  (Be very careful to not get this in your eyes)
Put on a shower cap and let the mixture sit on the hair for 30-45 minutes.
Rinse hair in the shower and apply a very good conditioner or do a hair mask.
Style as usual.

I did 3 treatments over a 2 week period.  You could do more if your hair will tolerate it.
