Cars.com’s editors recently tested the 2024 Chevrolet Trax Activ as part of a six-car comparison alongside the 2024 Kia Seltos SX Turbo, 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Premium, 2023 Honda HR-V EX-L, 2023 Volkswagen Taos SE and 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid S. While the Trax isn’t an exact fit in this class (unlike the rest of the group, it doesn’t offer all-wheel drive), it proved itself more than appropriate because of how much of a leap the Trax made with its model-year 2024 redesign.
The Trax has grown in size and technology offerings, all while seeing a pricing decrease — and that price is what really propelled the Trax into the discussion because as the least expensive car tested, it was $2,700 less expensive than the next-priciest competitor and wasn’t out of touch as far as features and room for the money, even offering unique features in the test.
