The name Gustav bears great power. In ancient norse, it means "Staff of the Goths". From a more latin angle, it was interpreted as Augustus - ruler of the world. On the 9th of December, 1594, a child was born in the palace of Stockholm - Gustav Adolf. In thirty-six years, the child would decide the fate of Europe.
