In this video, we'll show you how to run VNish Firmware on a Bitmain Antminer S19. This firmware is designed to optimize performance and increase hashing power. This step-by-step guide will help you get the most out of your mining hardware!

0:00-1:25 Step 1. Prepare Firmware Rollback
We'll start with a factory restore to roll back our existing firmware
To do so, download Bitmain's SD card image here: https://d-central.tech/dl/sd-recover-...
Insert your Micro SD card into the appropriate adapter for your computer
Make sure the card is empty and formatted to the FAT32 file system
Then extract the content of the sd-recover-bmu-S19-fixed-202006012026-release.zip into the Micro SD card and eject it safely
1:26-2:10 Step 2. Firmware Flushing
We'll now use our Micro SD Card to roll back the firmware to the factory setting
Unplug the Antminer and insert the Micro SD card in the control board
Look at the LEDs behaviour as we plug back the two power cables
We should see the fault and normal LEDs turn on shortly before turning off
This indicates the unit is now flashing the firmware onto the NAND of the control board
The two LEDs on the Ethernet port light up, which indicates that the network is connected and active
Then we should see the normal LED turn solid green, which indicates that we successfully flashed the firmware
We can now unplug the unit and eject the Micro SD card
2:11-3:12 Step 3. Prepare VNish Firmware
We'll then etch our Micro SD card with our custom firmware
This particular model will require Balena Etcher to etch the firmware on the flash memory: https://www.balena.io/etcher/
To do so, we'll go to our firmware page and download the VNish firmware image for the appropriate ASIC miner

Make sure the SD card is empty and formatted to the FAT32 file system
Then we'll open Balena Etcher and click on "Flash From File"
Select the IMG file that fits your Antminer 19 Series model and click open
We then click on "Select Target" to choose the appropriate SD card and click on "Flash"
We should see a message indicating that the flash is now complete
3:13-3:55 Step 4. Insert Flashed VNish Micro SD Card
We'll now install VNish for 19 series on our Antminer
Unplug the power cables and insert the Micro SD card into the control board
Look at the LEDs behaviour as we plug back the two power cables,
We should see the fault and normal LEDs turn on shortly before turning off
When you see the green normal LED blinking, this means you've successfully flashed your machine with your custom firmware
This particular method requires you to leave the Flashed VNish Micro SD card inside the ASIC miner
Congratulations, you have optimized your Antminer 19 Series with VNish and all you have to do is connect to your machine and then configure it. Happy hashing!
