Initial sounds, also known as
Initial sounds, also known as beginning sounds, is a strategy that young children or beginning readers can use to help them decode while reading, or when writing. J&A will be using magnetic letters and their toys to identify the initial or beginning sounds.
If you do not have magnetic letters, you could always simply write the letters on cut up paper! The options are endless to make learning fun!
