Various shots as British tanks enter Beek, a frontier town between Nijmegen and Kleff. Pathe cameraman Ken Gordon goes along the road with the first British tank to enter the Reich. Various shots of white flags hung out and allied soldiers manning German sentry boxes.  Various shots of officers and men of the 1st Airborne Division who retreated from Arnhem.  They are in good spirits even if they look worn out, they still carry their guns. M/S Major-General Urquhart arriving back in Britain, he gets off the aeroplane and is greeted by U.S. Major-General Paul Williams. Urquhart then delivers a message to the men and tells them that the operation started well and they were dropped on target. (He doesn't go on to explain what went wrong!). M/S group of Arnhem 'Red Devils' cheering.
