No Trip in the Philippines
No Trip in the Philippines is complete without a ferry boat adventure! Today I took a short ferry ride from Bacolod to IloIlo for the cost of $12.00 USD (or 660 PHP). This seemed like a great bargain compared to flying, and really didn't seem to be much slower.
Along the way I had a couple snacks and ran into someone who recognized me, which I always enjoy! The ride was smooth and mostly uneventful, but a nice ride nonetheless.
Afterward, I walked to my hotel and got my first glimpse of IloIlo, the city of love here in the philippines. My first impressions were great, the city is beautiful, full of color, and friendly people!
On the way to my hotel I spotted some street food and managed to snag myself some quality BBQ. The people there were very friendly, polite, and accomadating. Also, the food was amazing! I love chorizo.
After that, I took a quick walk to my hotel and checked in. I was surprised by the quality of the hotel, because I had only paid $27.00 a night, and felt I got more than my money's worth.
