Elephanta Caves a UNESCO World Heritage Site are a collection of cave temples predominantly dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva.

Elephanta Caves are located on Elephanta Island, or Gharapuri (literally meaning "the city of caves") in close proximity to Mumbai Harbour and can be reached via boat service from the Gateway of India, Mumbai.

The Elephanta Caves consists of five Hindu caves, a few Buddhist stupa mounds that date back to the 2nd century BCE, and two Buddhist caves with water tanks.

The Elephanta Caves contain rock-cut stone sculptures, mostly in high relief, that show syncretism of Hindu and Buddhist ideas and iconography.

Elephanta Caves derives its name from Elefante by the colonial Portuguese who found elephant statues on the caves, later morphing into Elephanta.

This video gives information on Elephanta Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Monument loacted on Gharapuri or Elephanta Island in Mumbai.  The video was shot on Realme 9i 5G mobile phone and edited using Power Director Android. Video best viewed in 1080p HD.
