A true original. 1931 Ford AA Firetruck. The San Diego and Arizona Eastern Railway 1003 firetruck spent several years stationed at Dubbers Spur, just north of Jacumba Hot Springs, California. Its purpose was to protect the many wood-lined tunnels and wood-built trestles throughout the Carrizo Gorge, including the famous Goat Canyon Trestle. The truck was restored by and is on loan to the Pacific Southwest Railway Museum from the California State Railroad Museum. Enjoy this demonstration from PSRM Volunteers.
