Bodycam DUI Arrest - 2nd Drunk Driving Arrest for 24-Year-Old Who Crashes Her Car

On April 13, 2024, Athens Police Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident.  Upon arrival, officers observed a red Toyota partially on top of a parked Hyundai.   The 24-year-old driver of the Toyota was still in her vehicle.  Because she was unable to safely exit her vehicle, the Athens Fire Department was called to secure the vehicle.  Once the woman was removed from the vehicle, she was transported by EMS to the hospital.  Officer Doerr responded to the hospital, where the woman admitted to consuming wine and smoking cannabis throughout the day.  She consented to a blood draw to determine her level of intoxication.  It was also determined that this was her 2nd DUI arrest.   She was given several citations and was released to the custody of medical staff at the hospital.  Her charges and the outcome of her case are discussed at the end of the video.
