Crunchy Special Murukku

Ingredients

Maida - 1/2 Kg
Cumin Seeds -  1/4 Tsp
Sesame Seeds - 1/4 Tsp
Pepper Powder - 1/2 Tsp
Salt - 1/2 Tsp
A Pinch of Baking Soda
Milk - 1/2 Cup
Hot Water as Required
Oil for frying

In this video you will see how to Prepare a crunchy special murukku in Tamil.
For this I'm taking 1/2 kg Maida. In a idly pot steam maida as shown in the video. Steam for 20 minutes. So that the gummy texture will be removed and it will change as rice flour. After 20 minutes take the maida in a plate and using a spoon spread as shown in the video. Now sieve it well. Then add Cumin seeds, sesame seeds, pepper powder, salt as required and a pinch of baking soda. Mix all the ingredients well. Then add milk and mix well. So that the dough gets soft. After this add hot water and knead the dough well as idiyappam flour. Now take the dough in the idiyappam maker and make a circle as shown in the video. If you want big circle then make 3 to 4 circles. After this is done it is time to fry. Now in a pan take required amount of oil for frying. Put as many circle in the pan because it will not stick each other. Fry till golden colour and then take it out. Do the similar step for all the dough and make murukku. Crunchy murukku is ready to serve. It can be stored in a airtight container for one month. Serve with chukku coffee for its real taste. Enjoy !
