Tip leads Stockton special unit to large sideshow

Nearly two dozen people were arrested following a massive sideshow over the weekend where one person was hit by a car, Stockton police said. The San Joaquin County Multi-Agency Sideshow Taskforce​ learned about an illegal sideshow that was set to take place Saturday. Police said participants met in a parking lot in the 17200 block of S. Manthey Road in Lathrop and drove down to Stockton. The group took over the intersections of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Hunter Street, Main Street and Golden Gate Avenue and Pixie Drive and Kingsley Avenue, according to Stockton police. Aerial video from the California Highway Patrol shows more than 100 people gathered in a circle while two cars in the center performed donuts.
