Questions have been raised over why Melania hasn’t been seen with former US president Donald Trump at his presidential rallies.
Former White House press secretary Sean Spicer said the former US first lady is “very supportive” of Donald Trump but is likely more focused on raising their son Barron.
“She has a son that’s still in school, Barron, and I think she has always prioritised being a mother to him,” he told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.
“If you’re going to have a dad that’s out on the campaign trail, it’s nice to have another parent that’s there.
“That’s the role that she’s always cherished.”
