Visiting pepper grower Rob Moors in Asten-Heusden. Rob has been researching for a number of years how to make the crop more resilient and this starts with water with a high level of oxygen. Moleaer offers this solution. Rob came into contact with the Moleaer technique via Rene Mondt, water quality specialist at Royal Brinkman.
"You could clearly see that the department where Moleaer was located, the irrigation water had much higher oxygen levels," says Rob Moors. "In the department where the Moleaer was placed you saw much more root activity and more beautiful, whiter roots."
Moleaer produces Nanobubbles. These are small gas particles that make contact with the water, causing it to dissolve extremely well. Up to four times more than conventional techniques. Too little oxygen in irrigation water can lead to a greater risk of root suffocation. This also creates a greater chance of funghi, for example Fusarium.
After a year of testing with Moleaer, Rob Moors was satisfied. Moleaer has been used in one department and not in the other. This allowed for a good comparison of the effect of this. After these good results, all departments at Kwekerij Moors have Moleaer units installed now.
