Invest 93L is a low-pressure system located to the east of the Yucatán Peninsula and south of Pinar del Río, Cuba. The National Hurricane Center has increased the chances of cyclonic development to 80% over the coming days as it moves north-northeast over the Gulf of Mexico waters.
The most recent projections forecast that showers will affect Quintana Roo, Mexico, and Pinar del Rio, Cuba, during this weekend. Later, the future tropical storm Idalia or Hurricane Idalia is expected to reach Florida between Tuesday and Wednesday of the following week.
