The Pella curse tablet is our longest yet fragment of the Greek spoken in Macedonia. Was this the language of the nobility or something everyone spoke? That would make this the noble Macedonian dialect of Greek, but maybe the people spoke an Illyrian language called Macedonian, mentioned by people like Herodotus? Questions to ponder, as well as whether this conveys the fact that Macedonia is linguistically and culturally Greek and should thus not belong to North Macedonia.

I personally think the territorial arguments are stupid - Bulgaria fragmented and produced NM, and it should stay that way, they don't deserve to get booted out of what is now their own country. A bit more ridiculous is how they claim Alexander was a Slav, which is a bit disingenuous - and reusing Greek symbols is maybe a bit borderline but shouldn't have been escalated to an international court. Feel free to disagree, this is just my personal view of things, I fully understand both sides, with a bit more Macedonian support in this situation perhaps (?). In any case, I do love the Ancient Macedonians and all Balkanese people!
