A friend asked me if
A friend asked me if I could incorporate her mom’s ashes into a small pendant using neutral colors so she could wear it with most anything.
This was a first for me, but I read lots of tips and made several prototypes without ashes first. Our friend is delighted with her very personalized memorial piece. And I learned something new — I was honored she allowed me the opportunity.
Tack fuse french vanilla medium frit:
400-1300°-15
Off (no anneal because I’ll anneal in second firing)
Pre-fire ashes in QuikFire kiln:
AFAP-1500°-10
Full fuse final piece:
400-1225°-60
600-1490°-10
9999-900°-60
100-700-off
