If You Plan On Using DCC On Your Layout, You Will Want To Run Your Buss Wires And Feeders Properly. In this video, I discuss the recommend way to run your buss wires and feeders through your layout.
On my layout, I use 14/2 Romex I had left over from a wiring project on my home. I demonstrate how to remove the jacket from the wire so it can be used as buss wiring on your layout.
On the white board, I show how easy it is to run your buss wires through your layout in order to use the shortest possible feeder wires to your track. Not many modelers realize that the resistance of Nickel-Silver track is very high and code 100 track is equivalent to AWG 26 Gauge wire. With this in mind, you see why it's very important to utilize the best methods to run your buss and feeder wires.
