Tawa chicken Masala

INGREDIENTS:
2-4 tbsp of Oil
4 sliced onions
1/2 a dry grated coconut
10 peppercorns
2 green cardamoms, 1 mace
1/2” cinnamon
2 bay leaves
2 tbsp of Ginger-garlic-coriander paste
1 kg chicken
1/2 tbsp turmeric powder
2 red chilli powder
1 tbsp coriander powder
Salt to taste
1 cup of water
1 tbsp tamarind pulp
1 tsp garam masala
Freshly chopped coriander leaves

METHOD:
-Heat 2 cup of Oil
-Fry 4 sliced onions till golden and crisp
-Remove it in a different bowl
-In the same tawa, roast 1/2 a dry grated coconut. To make the coconut crisp, add 2 tbsp of oil, remove it after it is done
-Heat 1/2 cup of Oil
-Add whole spices: 10 peppercorns, 2 green cardamoms, 1 mace, 1/2” cinnamon, 2 bay leaves
-Add 2 tbsp of Ginger-garlic-coriander paste
-Immediately add 1 kg chicken
-Mix well
-Add 1/2 tbsp turmeric powder, 2 red chilli powder, 1 tbsp coriander powder, salt to taste
-Mix well again
-Add 1 cup of water
-Cover & cook till the chicken is done
-Add roasted coconut and fried onions
-Add 1 tbsp tamarind pulp
-Mix well
-Add 1 tsp garam masala
-Add freshly chopped coriander leaves
-Mix well
-Cover & cook on a low flame for 5 minutes till all flavours infuse well together
-Serve
