I will delve into the nuances of health anxiety and hypochondria, exploring the ways in which they manifest and affect individuals' lives. Health anxiety often involves a preoccupation with having or acquiring a serious illness despite reassurance from medical professionals. This excessive worrying can lead to physical symptoms and a decreased quality of life. I deliberately waited this long into the course before talking about these topics for two reasons: firstly, to gain your trust so you'd listen to me, and secondly, because I needed to prepare you to have the right skills to be able to stand your ground when the time was right for you to step out into life with more courage and clearer intentions for what you want - or who you wish to become. Part one of this video will outline how these conditions operate and will give you new perspectives to understand what is happening to you. Then, in part two - I will detail how you will retrain your brain and desensitise your body for a whole set of new, more calm, loving and positive thoughts and emotions. I won't lie to you - overcoming these conditions is not easy, but it is possible, and the rewards are well worth the effort. I am also aware that the individuals who most need to watch these particular videos are probably the ones most likely to self-sabotage themselves out of watching them!
