How to Give Copper to Goats

This is how we give copper oxide to our goats rather than giving it to them as a bolus. We do it because our goats wind up copper deficient because of the high amount of sulfur and iron in our well water. Research has shown no difference in copper absorption regardless of whether the copper is mixed in feed or given as a bolus, and we have had liver biopsies done, which always put our goats in the mid-normal range for as long as we have been doing this.
