Introduce children to sky colors and famous artworks by Vincent van Gogh. This interactive digital storybook invites kids to look at the imaginative Starry Night and introduce students to a brief history of Vincent van Gogh. It's an age-appropriate and engaging activity for for PreK through second grade art classes.
This is the actual digital storybook that I use as part of the Van Gogh art lessons in my elementary art curriculum. After this introduction students paint and collage their own imaginative night scenes, creating a unique mixed-media landscape. If you're using this unit too, I’m making it even easier for you to do these units with your students and buying you a bit of time in the process. Focus on teacher tasks like setting out materials or classroom management tasks while students are engaged in this short instructional video for kids about Vincent van Gogh.
