Are we witnessing the end? Imagine if there were food shortages?

Waffle makers, Crockpots, TVs, Xbox Games, 4gb Memory Cards, etc, Really People? Pepper-spray actually came into play. LOL. That is beyond me. Going "shopping" with pepper spray. Also, I can't remember the last time I even ate a waffle let alone having a thought about making one.
Corporate conditioning at its finest I guess. Why would anyone with sense and self awareness actually subject themselves to witnessing or participating in this fiasco? Don't they realize they are being used?
