Struggling with audio or visual quality in video conference meetings? Knowing a few best practices could be the game changer. Watch this video to find out how you can help create a seamless experience.

BEST PRACTICES FOR VIDEO CONFERENCING:

10. "Arrive" at the meeting early and test your connections.

9. Be at a location with good and consistent internet coverage. (The higher the bandwidth, the better - a minimum of 512 kbps up/down is recommended.)

8. Sit in line of sight of the camera, not off to the side. Zoom in so that you're at least 50% of the screen.

7. Place speakers away from the microphone. Adjust volumes to 50%.

6. Use a headset with a built-in microphone.

5. Shut the blinds! Sunlight overpowers room lighting.

4. Avoid tapping fingers, typing, crumpling paper, or any other habits that could affect the audio.

3. Side conversations in the background? Mute, mute, mute.

2. Moderators, hear an echo or other disruptions? You have the power. Find and mute the culprit.

1. Be yourself! Act natural. Look and speak into the camera as you normally would.
