I think I may have over did it with the Linkin Park Version (link) because it’s too good. I don’t think I could top that one in terms of a mega Infinite mashup. However, I have to constantly remind myself that the MJ Version is mostly a grand mashup of Thriller & not a megamix of 10+ MJ tracks. The non-Thriller tracks are to compliment Thriller & the juxtaposition of the remix.
I took so long to get this done for today because of real life. I try to spend time with my family & the few friends I have as much as I can, especially within the holidays. However I’ve been exhausted due to overtime at work around this busy time - Plus, job hunting was also tough.
With what little time I had spread out, I spent them working & perfecting this mashup. It’s a bigger challenge than the LP version - the 3 Infinite themes easily blend with LP as the band had spread across many styles & genres of similar nature. Infinite Thriller required some more creativity as Michael’s voice is more suited to overpowering the instruments rather than blending in with the heavier sounds, his voice is supposed to stand out the most. It’s a tough act to balance, but I preferred to have the vocals blend with the heavier choruses, especially the backing vocals. It would have been easier if some of the acapellas were of higher quality, but you gotta make do with what you have (messing around with filters helps out).
It may not compare to the Ultimate LP Mix, but I hope you guys enjoy this one as well.
