Florence is a city in central Italy and the capital city of the Tuscany region. It was a center of medieval European trade and finance and one of the wealthiest cities of that era. It is considered by many academics to have been the birthplace of the Renaissance.
I went to the countryside of Florence and the surroundings are very typical of Tuscany. It's so peaceful & relaxing and the view was picture-perfect. I also went to the Accademia Gallery of Florence to see the original sculpture of Michelangelo’s David, truly amazing.
