Woods fire at East Earl Township [raw video]

Firefighters worked to douse a fire that scorched about half an acre of land in East Earl Township earlier this afternoon.

The fire at 1139 Reservoir Road, said fire warden Jamie Weir, was caused by "somebody who was burning leaves."

Weir said, "They had it protected to a point, but it was a little breezy out there and it kicked it just enough to that it got away from them."

Firefighters were on the scene about an hour and 20 minutes.
