An Indie Dev and a AAA Dev discuss the miracle mechanic and its impact on the competitive scene of Magic the Gathering. Introduced in May of 2012 in the magic set Avacyn Restored, Miracle has had a lasting impact on the game. Upon its release it made waves in the Standard format with an iconic moment where Brian Kibler lost to a top decked Bonfire Of The Damned that ended the tournament for team USA. Later, in the Legacy format a deck named after the mechanic was top tier until the quintessential card, Sensei's Divining Top, was banned in the format - leading to the decks demise.
