Petros Sasaki was a Japanese iconographer who is respected as Father of Finnish iconography.   He was born in Odate, Akita, entered a seminary in Tokyo, worked in Osaka , went to Greece to study authentic Byzantine iconography, and was invited to Finland.   He created  many icons for the Finnish Orthodox Church, and trained the next generation.
We will introduce his icons and various icons from the background of his life.
