Wow guys, I just tried out one of the coolest things for the Oculus Rift! It's the VR Mod for Half Life 2 (made by WurmSlayer) and it's just...incredible! I really, really don't want to spoil anything in the description here, so I'll try not to.
I've been looking at trying out this mod for a long time (ever since I saw Goldfish's video), but unfortunately Razer discontinued the Hydra before I could get the money to get my hands on a set. It sucks, but luckily I found a person on eBay who was selling them (that's about the only way you can get them now. Resellers) to me, and they were also a fellow Rifter and they shipped it out to me as fast as they could.
By the way, if they're seeing this, thanks for being so awesome!
I got them, found a way to shove them in with all of my other gaming peripherals (I got so many of them guys, you have no idea). This wasn't actually the first thing I tried out with them though. The first thing I tried was a little thing called VRClay (which you can download here if you got a Rift/Hydra: http://vrclay.com/). It was pretty cool at the time, but it didn't have much to do beyond messing around with, and I'm not much of a modeller.
Anyways, hope you guys enjoy this one! I REALLY want to make a full Let's Play of this (come on, I know you all want to see me crap myself at Ravenholm). Later!
