In this tutorial, I will show you how to make a paper lampshade/lantern for the small light from scratch, using the template. The lamp shade is a icosahedral polygon. It is a 20 faced triangular construction.
This DIY lamp shade/lantern may take a while to complete, as there are 20 triangular pieces to cut from the template. To enhance the appearance of the lamp shade/lantern, you may use the paper or card that enhances the pattern and color for your decor. Regarding the thickness of paper, I recommend 180 gsm.
In this video, the lighting fixture is a bit bulky. You may desire to choose something even smaller for better presentation. For your safety, please use the low energy or LED globe to avoid an overheated lamp.
