The Radica TV games consoles
The Radica TV games consoles feature an ASIC version of the Sega Genesis/MegaDrive i.e.:
- a real 68000 CPU core,
- Z80 CPU core,
- Sega VDP and Memory
all throw onto one system-on-a-chip.
Unfortunately Radica skimped on the audio mixing circuitry. This results in distorted FM sound and albost inaudiable PSG (square waves) sound.
Fortunately, this can be improved without adding any actual parts.
