The RC505 is one of
The RC505 is one of the best choices for looping people. One thing that is keeping a lot of people from buying it is, that it is designed to be used with hands. Even if laid on the ground and played carefully barefoot you'll notice that its not meant to be used with feet.
But there is a way for instrumentalists to use this Wonderfull peace of gear: footcontrolers! There are some from boss itself, some from behringer and other brands. Often its not that easy to make things work, but since a lot of people had worked on it, there are lots of solutions around. The one I've chosen was to build myself a midi footcontroler using Arduino microcontroler to command the loop station.
I'm about to make a tutorial on how to build it, with the option of up to 12 push buttons with the standard Arduino or even more with other Arduino models. The looper accepts up to 16 midi commands, and even faders or pots can be used...
