The "My Language. My Choice: Words Mean Things" campaign explores the meaning of the terms "anti-racist," "anti-Blackness," "decolonize," and "BIPOC."

Hosts Angie Hambrick (Associate Vice President of Diversity, Justice, and Sustainability) and Ami Shah (Associate Professor of Anthropology & Global Studies) discuss the term "BIPOC" with guests Nicole Juliano (Director of the Diversity Center) and Jacob Taylor-Mosquera '09. They explore the ways they understand the word, examples of it, and how this word shows up in their lives.

This campaign is focused on taking responsibility for the words we use, understanding their meanings, and using words appropriately and in context. The campaign aims to give folks the tools needed to explore how we experience words in our everyday lives.
