This is one very detailed video showing a teardown, disassembly of the Canon Megatank G5050, to allow the waste ink system to be connected to an Printer Potty external waste ink kit.
The kit is an integral part of the process and can be purchased via:

Last thing to note... We have a G6050 and G7050 waiting to get the same treatment as this BUT...
...we really need to generate enough interest and genuine G5 Printer Potty kit sales to cover the considerable cost in time and money that this video took. A 50 minute video is going to put some people off fitting a waste kit so we need to know it's worth the effort through feedback, likes, shares and (yes it would be nice) actual kit sales. We're less concerned about the financial incentives here and more want to know it will actually be useful so please do feedback, and let us know if/what we can do to improve on this an other similar videos.
If there's enough interest we will look at whether we can include more Canon printers in our future resources and videos.
