The story of Barry Marshall, an australian physcian who won,with Robin Warren,the 2005 Nobel prize for physiology or medicine for their discovery that stomach ulcers are an infectious disease caused by helicobacter pylori.
Marshall sacrificed himself by using his own body as specimen for his experiment as he was prohibited from using human beings in his experiment.
marshall's story serves as both an insipiration and antidote to hubris in the face of unknown.
