Vietnam's border with China 🇻🇳

🇻🇳 Welcome to Lao Cai, a small city bordering China in the northwest of Vietnam. Although the capital of Lao Cai province is actually Lao Cai city (the name of the city and province are the same. I know, confusing), it is not a frequent travel destination of tourists. In fact, people going to the Northwest of Vietnam typically only go to a town 30km west of Lao Cai called "Sapa". I myself have been to Sapa 3 times, but have never been to Lao Cai. So today, let's take a walk through history and discover the modern side of this border city. And we'll also look into the somewhat strange border that Google Maps drew here. Enjoy.
