Relief Insert® Walker 2.0
One product – many applications
Use 1: Splinting System Relief Insert® 2.0:
- Pes equinus prophylaxis
- Conservative and postoperative protection of the injured areas
The Splinting System is used to position the lower leg to the foot at a 90° angle.
Furthermore, a walker can be assembled from the Splinting System with the aid of a therapeutic shoe.
Use 2: Lower Leg / Foot Orthosis | Relief Insert® Walker 2.0
For immobilisation in a given position with simultaneous mobilisation
Indications Relief Insert® Walker 2.0:
- Arthrodesis of the first TMT joint (lapidus arthrodesis)
- After metatarsal fracture surgery
- After hallux valgus surgery
- After hallux rigidus surgery
- After hammer and claw toe surgery
- Fractures of the phalanges
- After surgery on the rearfoot
- For ligament rupture of the ankle joint
- Postoperative use after removal of Haglund’s exostosis (with intact Achilles tendon)
- Pre- and postoperative / post-traumatic immobilisation of the lower leg / foot, stable foot or ankle fractures, severe ankle sprains
- Upper ankle joint arthrodesis
Use 3: Achilles Walker | Relief Insert® Walker 2.0 Achill
Lower Leg / Foot Orthosis with Achilles tendon relief
Indications Relief Insert® Walker 2.0 Achill:
- Achilles tendon ruptures
- Postoperative use for Achilles tendon suture
- Postoperative use after removal of Haglund’s exostosis
Features for all three applications:
- For postoperative mobilisation and stabilisation
- Physiologically correct gait pattern
- Sustainable therapy concept in conjunction with the Relief Dual® Plus Off-loading Shoe
- Universal fit for right and left
- Hygienic through removal of the shoe and exchangeable lining elements
- Automatic modification of the width
- Soft heel area thanks to the splint opening
- Slim design
- Lightweight
- Simple wound inspection as the shoe can be easily removed and put on again
- High patient compliance
- Customisable inflation via the integrated pump
Integrated pump:
For a customised fit, the volume of the air chambers can be increased using the pump attached to the side for additional stabilisation of the ankle joint. To reduce the volume, the valve can be used again to release air.
Automatic modification of the width:
The width of the Splinting System automatically adjusts to the circumference of the patient’s calf. If necessary, the adjuster can be unhooked if the calves are particularly wide.
Exchangeable insole:
If desired, the Splinting System can be combined with another compatible DARCO insole.
Cleaning:
If slightly soiled, the shoe, splint and grey insole can be wiped with a damp cloth or cleaned with commercially available disinfectant. The blue liner components (calf and front liner and forefoot strap)
can be removed from the splint and washed at 60° C in a washing machine.
Backpack:
All Relief Insert® Walker 2.0 variants are supplied in a functional backpack. The hands remain free to ensure safe walking with walking aids. The backpack can also be used as a fashion accessory after the
treatment has finished.
