Shooting Range Accident

A rifle blows up at a Transylvania County shooting range, sending metal fragments into its owner's face.Gunsmith Brandyn Langston was restoring a rifle made in the '30's.  He took it to the Bear Arms range near Brevard to test fire it.Range video shows him struggling with the rifle's stiff action, but successfully firing five rounds.But the sixth round blows up in his face, showering him and the camera with shrapnel.Langston says safety equipment kept him from losing his eye and hearing in his right ear.  He still has a piece of metal from the gun embedded in his cheek.  He says the gun metal could have been weakened, or he made a mistake loading the cartridge that exploded.Experts say this kind of accident is extremely rare.
