Koh Lipe, Thailand. . . How to get to Koh Lipe and where to stay. Things to do, from kayaking to snorkeling to Koh Lipe's best restaurant. Koh Lipe Island is paradise. It may just be the most beautiful island in Thailand. It is part of the Tarutao National Marine Park, 580 square miles of protected sea life, great for snorkeling, scuba diving, and just time on the perfect sand looking at the amazing turquoise water. We visited Koh Lipe in May, 2023 (technically, the rainy season, but we saw mainly sunshine). Koh Lipe Island high season is November to March, but expect bigger crowds. We had an amazing time, being on and in the water, or haha, being on the sand and looking AT the water. In Lipe, it's all about the beautiful sea.

We stayed at Koh LIpe Island's amazing Ten Moons Hotel (sometimes listed as 10 Moons Hotel), with its private beach at the end of Sunrise Beach, complete with amazing snorkeling among the big boulders on the shoreline, and giant shade trees to get out of the sun while enjoying the beach. https://www.TenMoonsLipeResort.com
Whether you spell it Ko Lipe or Koh Lipa or Ko Lipay, or correctly as Koh Lipe, if you want to be less farang (westerner) and more Thai, be aware that Thais pronounce the letter K as a G, so they say "Gaw Lipe". Now you know why you hear it two ways!
