We decided to travel the entire stretch of Holy  from its birth  in Brahmagiri hills at Talakaveri Kodagu as it flows southeast 800 kms till it enters the Bay of Bengal. In this video we have covered important places of interest, temples etc.

Talakaveri is the place where the River Kaveri originates. It is located by Brahmagiri hill
Bhagamandala is situated on the River Kaveri in its upstream stretches. At this place, the Kaveri is joined by two tributaries, the Kannike and the mythical Sujyoti river.It is first Triveni Sangamam on river Kaveri. A temple of Lord Shiva is also located here.
Dubare Elephant camp is known for its elephant camp, a forest camp on the banks of the River Kaveri  in the district of Kodagu .
Kaveri Nisargadhama is an island formed by river River Kaveri in Kodagu and is a picnic spot.
Krishna Raja Sagar dam or KRS, is a dam located in Mandya district on the River Kaveri.  The dam where tributaries of River Kaveri  i.e. Hemavathi and Lakshmana  thirtha.

Jambukeswarar Temple, Thiruvanaikaval  is a famous Shiva temple in  Trichy and part of the Panchabhoota Sthalams representing the element water.
Kallanai or the Grand Anaicut is an ancient dam, which is built  across the River Kaveri in Trichy. The dam was constructed by the Chola King Karikalan in 2nd century AD. The purpose of the Kallanai was to divert the waters of the Kaveri across the fertile delta region for irrigation via canals and to its northern delta branch Kollidam/Coleroon.

Parimala Ranganathar Perumal Temples  is a Hindu temple dedicated to Vishnu . This temple is along Kaveri and is one of the Pancharanga Kshetrams. And it is one of the Divya Desams, the 108 temples of Vishnu.
Poom puhar  is a town in the Nagapattinam district in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The river kaveri reaches Bay of Bengal here.
