I worked with the Florida Capitol press corps in Tallahassee in 1980. In the 80's Gov Bob Graham did something that resonated with the "common people" he did a workday as a bellhop or tomato picker and would get a lot of good will and free PR. When he did a workday as a TV reporter/anchor for WTVT Tampa. The Tallahassee bureau was eventually given a copy and I made a dub. This is the complete hour, all the way up to the switch to Cronkite at 7PM. Graham did a good job. He is a rarity: a caring and curious politician. This Nov 1980 full-hour newscast is a cool window, a well preserved relic, a newscast with all the vintage fonts and legendary weatherman Roy Leep's then-state of the art graphics and toys. Oh and non flashy solid journalism. I vaguely remember that last one...
