Using The Multi-currency feature is
Using The Multi-currency feature is needed if you do international business and have overseas transactions with more than 1 currency. You need to convert currencies with the daily conversion rate before each multi-currency transaction. Your reports need to show the home currency and the foreign currency valuation in terms of U.S. dollars. After you activate the multi-currency feature, you need to make a home currency adjustment to track the gain or loss from currency exchange. There couldn’t be exchange fees and conversion fees for currency transfers. This video will clearly explain unrealized and realized gain on currency exchange rates and demonstrate an example of every possible type of multi-currency transaction.
