The Renault Austral is a
The Renault Austral is a new hybrid family SUV that replaces the Renault Kadjar. It combines a 1.2-litre petrol engine with an electric motor to produce 200bhp and up to 60.1mpg. It also features four-wheel steering for improved manoeuvrability and stability.
The Austral is available in three trim levels: Techno, Techno Esprit Alpine and Iconic Esprit Alpine. It competes with other hybrid crossovers such as the Kia Sportage, the Hyundai Tucson, the Nissan Qashqai and the Toyota RAV4. The Austral is praised for its looks, quietness, economy and cabin quality, but criticised for its high price, ride comfort, noise at speed and boot space.
