Why are Tesla tires always wearing out?
Tires on Tesla are notorious for wearing out quickly. People think that this is because the car has high torque and that the extra motor torque causes wheel slippage that leads to excessive tire wear. But even Tesla owners who always drive conservatively report excessive wear. This often times comes down to the build quality. We see a lot of Tesla that can't achieve proper alignment even at there maximum setting. In this case, a camber correction kit is needed. In this video, we have a customer who is experiencing shudder/vibration from the rear axle. The complete alignment kit consists of the TSX-1 (Toe Arms), SX-1 (Camber Arms), and RSX-1 (Lowering links). Check out our video of the full install on the passenger side. Did not film the drivers side as it is the same process.
