Visit to Big Pipe Creek
Visit to Big Pipe Creek at Union Mills Homestead, Maryland on 7/15/2021. This is where Jeb Stuart and his Calvary set up camp and bivouacked the night of June 29/30 1863 on his way to Gettysburg Pa. to later meet up with the Army of Northern Virginia for the 3 day battle that occurred on July 1,2 & 3. Jeb Stuart's Calvary pulled out of Union Mills only mere hours before the arrival of General James Barnes and his 5th Corps Union Army which set up encampment to spend the night of June 30-July 1, 1863.
