"AFS off" repair, Lexus, Toyota, Prius

This video shows a common and fairly typical fault that leads to an “AFS off” warning on the dash of a 2008 Lexus 400h. Details of the repair are shown, and comparison is made to the approach taken at OEM dealerships. The AFS system was designed to provide adaptive front headlight illumination that will respond to differences in  vehicle ride height and turning. When the AFS system is disabled for some reason, it reverts to a baseline safe headlight aim and the PCM sends a signal to the dash to flash the AFS off warning.
