Karnataka To Release 8,000 Cusecs Of Cauvery Water To Tamil Nadu | Karnataka News

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah chaired an all-party meeting to discuss the Cauvery water dispute with Tamil Nadu. Karnataka has decided to appeal against the Cauvery Water Management Authority's directive to release one TMC of water daily. The state has reduced the water release to 8,000 cusecs due to decreased inflow. The DMK has responded, noting the Supreme Court's order, and plans to discuss the issue with Chief Minister MK Stalin. The BJP has also weighed in, urging discussions with Tamil Nadu for a resolution.
