Food composition data build the basis in many areas of nutrition and agriculture research. FAO aims to improve the quality, availability, reliability and use of food composition data worldwide. The Evaluation Framework helps to assess the quality of published food composition tables and databases in a systematic way, by assigning quality scores in 7 different categories.
