Vardhman Group CEO Duped Of ₹ 7 Crore By Cyber Scamsters Posed As CBI | Urban Debate

This comes after Cyber fraudsters tricked 82-year-old Padma Bhushan awardee S P Oswal, a textile industry leader, into transferring Rs 7 crore by impersonating Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud and conducting a fake Supreme Court hearing via Skype. The scam involved citing a money-laundering investigation against Jet Airways founder Naresh Goyal. Ludhiana police arrested two suspects from Assam, identified seven others across West Bengal and Delhi, and recovered Rs 5.25 crore from the fraudulent bank accounts.
